Maintenance Interval

Maintenance interval is 200,000 pages.

Clearing the Message

To clear the message, press and hold '-Item' and -'Value' while powering on the printer. Release the keys when you see " RESET MAINT COUNT" in the display. The MAINTENANCE COUNT item in the Service Menu gets reset to zero.

Clearing the Message Temporarily

This is a user convenience feature that permits one to put off seeing the message for another 10,000 pages. In the Configuration Menu there'll be an item, MAINTENANCE MESSAGE = OFF. Select it, and the message will go away for awhile.

  1. thank you aging boomer. your comments and sarcasism are well taken. my beef, is in this so called age of eco'isms, the printers are now throw away. The tech course are a joke, but it surprising how far that BS piece of paper will get you. And the companies expect you to fix the printer for a bowl of rice.

  2. Reset the counter completely: Hold down select and cancel and turn the printer on. Press right menu, then press select, now you are in service mode. Right menu x1, right item x2 to see "maintenance count". Press select to move to each digit, press value +/i to change digit, press select to continue through all digits. Increase the count +200k and you have just performed the maintenance.
